It's Been Awhile...

It's been so long since I last posted it seems. We have been kinda busy, but I really have no excuses at all. Peytons birthday came December 5th as always. We had such a fun day yet it was such a bittersweet one for me. I can't believe that my baby has grown up so fast and is 6 years old. Seems like just yesterday I was a new mom wondering how I would ever raise this tiny baby that I knew nothing about. But I am so proud of the big kid he has become and happy that he is healthy and happy. I have pictures but I will post them later. Other than that we have been busily getting ready for Christmas. This is a special Christmas for me this year. I have been begging to go "home" for Christmas for the past couple years and finally this year is the year. We will be heading home to Idaho next Wednesday until Sunday and I can't wait! I have so many fond memories of being there as a child. I don't know where to start. Grandma's cooking, Christmas Eve with more than 20 people crammed into her house. There is something so special about it. I can't wait to have Peyton and Dean spend a Christmas there with me to enjoy what I remember so much. My grandpa has had such a rough year and sometimes I'm afraid this could be his last Christmas with us all, so we couldn't miss the opportunity to go and spend it with them. This is also my dads year for us to spend with him, so it all works out perfect. Thank you to Dean for being so willing to be away from your family for the first time in your life for this holiday. It does mean alot to me and I do appreciate it. Anyhow, until Christmas pictures and birthday pictures arrive, we will leave you with this...

Have a Very Merry Christmas Everyone!

Baby Project #2

This last Sunday, my awesome, talented and amazing friend Ashley came to help a lost mom out! I have been wanting to be crafty and make these letters for Addyson's room, however I had no idea where to start. Thanks to Ash, we got them finished and they are absolutely ADORABLE! I couldn't be any happier with them! :) They will eventually go on a shelf above her bed... but thats another project for another day. Thank you Ash! You are the best!

It's a....

GIRL!!!

We went for our ultrasound today and low and behold, this mom was right! We are excited to be having a girl join this family in March!! She was a little stubborn, crossing her legs of course, however after a bathroom break and some jiggling around of the stomach, she cooperated and showed us everything! We can't wait to start shopping and begin this next chapter in our life.. and in case anyone is wondering if we have a name... WE DO!

Addyson

will be her name unless something else hits us as hard as this name has!

Baby Purchases

Here are pictures of our first few "BIG $$ ITEMS" that we have purchased for the baby. For those of you who know me well, you know that I'm a bit obsessed with red. And so this was the PERFECT fit for us. I wanted something that could be either or gender and something that could be passed to the next kid. So we spent a bit more money on something extra durable and nice so it would last. We are so excited to be able to put a new little one in these in a short few months! Peyton and Dean have everything set up and ready to go!! However, it all has to be moved out of the baby room soon to start painting and to get the crib set up (pictures to come when finished)

CrAzY hAiR dAy!!

Peyton had
CRAZY HAIR DAY
at school a couple weeks ago!! He was so excited and this is what he wanted me to do!! You can't see it very well in the pictures but the middle mohawk was GREEN and the outside ones were BLUE!! He definitly looked crazy but so cute at the same time!!

Fair Time

We had such a great time at the State Fair this year with The Greens! Here are a few pictures to capture the event!

Madi and Peyton had so much fun going down the big yellow slide

Dean and I had a blast feeding Bayleigh cotton candy! Oh my she LOVED it!! A girl after my own heart!! ;)

Blurry picture, but Peyton went on this ride by himself, I couldn't believe it!! It went clear up and then dropped you to the bottom.. HE LOVED it!! He is definitly my kid! I would have gone with him had I not been pregnant and sick already!! Next year we are for sure going to Lagoon and him and I will have a blast while Dean and the baby watch!!

Playing a bit of catch up.. Trip to Idaho

Over Labor Day, we made a last minute trip to Idaho. My grandpa has not been doing to well and was going into surgery on September 15th and they told him it was very high risk and he had a chance of not pulling through. So I just couldn't take my chances of not going to see him for what we all thought might be his last moments of life. He had his surgery and is recovering, however he hasn't been the same since. He is in A LOT of pain, and they think the anesthesia messed with his mind a little. He has said and done a lot of things that have made him seem crazy or not all there, however slowly but surely they hope he will pull out of it. We are glad he survived and hope that he pulls through with a full recovery. Anyhow, here are some of the pictures from when we were there.
The gorgeous sunset as we pulled in that night!! So pretty!!

While we were there, I went over to Burley to get my hair cut by my cousin and left Peyton with my Grandparents, this is what I came home to... I remember all the times my grandpa would take us out back and let us shoot the bb gun (if thats how you spell it). And I was so happy to see those two bonding and having such a great time. It was funny how before we arrived, my dad said grandpa was not doing so well, but it seemed once we got there, he piped right up and was excited for us to be there and excited to spend time with Peyton, and for that we are so happy and appreciative!!

Dean and Peyton playing in the large "wagon" type thing that my grandpa uses in his garden.. this was a cute moment and I had to catch it on camera!!

We took a trip to City of Rocks on Sunday, Peyton had a great time climbing and we stopped at a gas station on the way and he thought he was pretty funny with this!! HAHA

My two BOYS!!

Dean doing his funny hand/picture stuff.. he had Peyton do this, looks kinda cool right?

The trip was alot of fun and we are so glad we went to spend time with family... being here away from them all gets to me sometimes so I am thankful for the times we do get with them! I really was on this trip eventhough there aren't any pictures of me... Im not so camera happy with getting pregnant chubby anymore... UGH...

Wedding Sneak Peek 08-17-09

Since I promised the photographer I would be patient, I am just going to post a few pics for a sneak peek of the wedding! It was absolutely perfect bliss! I thought that I was going to cry and be nervous, but as my son walked me down that aisle, I looked out and everything was perfect! Perfect tables, perfect scene and the most perfect man waiting for me at the end of that aisle. And at that point I knew what we were doing was right and I was so
HAPPY!!!
So needless to say, there were no tears, just pure happiness! The weather was perfect, the company was fabulous and we couldn't ask for any better friends and family to come and celebrate this long awaited day! Thank You to all who came to share in this special day with us! And I need to give a very special THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this possible. You all are so amazing and we are all so very lucky to have you in our lives!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
And now, until we have more pictures... Here is your sneak peek.....

What We've Been Up To.....

Taking a bike ride down a little trail by our house! He loved it!
(Good job on the blackberry photos Dean)
We were out and about lastnight and Peyton wanted Chick Fil A for dinner, so we said alright. Well we went in to eat and it was CRAZY busy and we were confused, but said ok whatever, we will eat anyways. Well come to find out, Wednesdays are "Family Night" at Chick Fil A and you get free kids meals and then they have all sorts of FREE activities for the kids. Face painting was one of them, so of course we couldn't pass that up! This lady did a great job and some of the "girls" faces she was doing were sooo cool and pretty!! We took her card and Peyton wants to have her come to his birthday party this year to do face painting! I think its a great idea!! :)
Anyhow, so here is the happy boy with his SPIDERMAN face!!

All my posts lately have been about the baby, and truthfully, we have been doing so much more and that too!! Peyton has been gone most the summer at his dad's house in Idaho and it really took a toll on me! I enjoyed it for awhile because we were busy and I didn't notice it as much. But about 2-3 weeks ago I started to dislike it VERY much! We were able to pick him up for a day last week due to a heart attack scare that my dad had. We had to rush to Pocatello to see my dad in the ICU and I insisted that we pick up Peyton on the way just in case something was very wrong, I felt like he would need to see his grandpa. (Peyton and my dad are very close and he loves him very much) Luckily it was just a scare (for now) and we were able to go and see him and Peyton was too, which was very nice, just not under those circumstances. Anyhow, after our small trip in Pocatello, it was time to give him back to his dad, and he DID NOT want to go. I was having a hard time "making" him go, but I knew it was for the best as we are so busy with wedding plans. But a week after that, I just couldn't take it anymore, so we brought him home a week early!! Its so nice to have him back in our home!! There is no more silence and no more quiet moments.. but its nice! And we were able to tell him about the new arrival and he is SOOOO excited!! He wants to buy everything for "his baby" and even share his room!! He is pretty upset with us that he won't be sharing his room, but I assured him that he could have "sleepovers" in his room with the baby in the Pack N Play.. we will see how long that lasts!! One cry and he will be done I'm sure! Anyhow, heres a couple pictures to show ya what we have done since he has been home!!

I have a FEELING...

I just have to get this off my chest. For the longest time I have had a strong feeling that this baby is a girl. So I had to give into my temptations of mythology. So I googled Chinese gender predictor chart and sure enough, doing that gave me the results of girl. And then i also did the test where you put your wedding ring on a string and dangle it over your wrist and if it circles, its a girl, and if it goes back and forth like a pendulum its a boy... well.. mine circled! So I'm just saying ahead of time, that I'm pretty sure no matter what our wishes, that we are getting a girl.... Of course we are totally fine with this and happy no matter what.. but I just had to get that all off my chest!! THANKS!! ;)

We Wish For....

Of course any parent only wishes for a happy healthy baby. However, lets be honest, we all have a gender wish at some point. So Im putting our good vibes out there to say that we are hoping for a BOY!!! So everyone hope for us! However, if we do get a girl, we won't be disappointed! So here is to little BOY wishes!! :)

BiG NeWs!!!!

Yes what you see is true! We are expecting!! We aren't sure how far along yet, anywhere from 3-5 weeks! We are so very excited and can't wait for all the FUN ahead!! We were going to wait to tell people, but the excitement was killing us. We haven't told Peyton yet because he doesn't understand TIME!! He would never leave us alone, so hopefully the right time comes soon!! :) Stay tuned for more details!!
I didn't quite believe it, so I had to take two, and then had to go to the Dr. to take a REAL one and sure enough, 3rd times a charm!!
